Convention Information
Accommodations
The Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, host to attendees of the ACS Technologies 22nd Annual National Convention May 27-29, 2009, is conveniently located in downtown Jacksonville on the beautiful St. Johns River.
Rates are $105.00 (single or double occupancy) for each night. A 1% city surcharge and 13% city and state tax is also applicable. Group rates will be honored three days before and after the convention dates. All room reservations must be made by May 5th, 2009, in order to receive the $105 convention rate. After that, regular rates will apply based on availability.

Travel
Access by Air
Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is the gateway to Northeast Florida. Located 12 miles, or about 20 minutes, from downtown; non-stop and direct service is available from most of the nation’s metropolitan areas via 16 airlines.
Access by Train
Daily railroad passenger service to and from Jacksonville is provided by Amtrak, connecting the city with all other locations in the Amtrak system. The Jacksonville Amtrak station is located just minutes north of downtown.
Access by Automobile
Jacksonville is at the crossroads of two major Interstate Highways – 95 (north/south) and 10 (east/west) – and four U.S. Highways – 1, 17, 90 & 301.
In-Town Travel
- Taxi service from the airport to downtown is approximately $20.
- Shuttle vans, mini buses and motorcoaches are also available.
- The Jacksonville Transportation Authority provides local bus service seven days a week.
- The Jacksonville Transportation Authority operates the Automated Skyway Express, a monorail system serving the downtown area.
- Downtown is served by The Trolley, a complimentary system which stops near performing arts facilities and other locations on both the north and
south banks of the river downtown. - Water taxi service is also available to cross the St. Johns River.
Optional Activities
Cruise the St. Johns River
Take a relaxing cruise on the St. Johns river aboard the Lady St. John. This is sure to be an unique experience. The St. Johns River is one of only two rivers in the world that flows south to north. Gather in the lobby at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27 for this experience. Cost is $20 per person. Payment is required upon registration. Karaoke Party
Got a hidden talent or just love to belt a tune? Join us at River Terrace I, Thursday, May 28 from 7:00 - 10:30 p.m., to show off your singing skills! Come ready to show what you’ve got and enjoy a fun night of Karaoke with other participants. Everyone is invited to participate, whether as one of the performers or as an audience member. This is a free event.

Cancellation Policy
If you have to cancel your registration for the convention, please call 800-669-2509 or email convention@acstechnologies.com. Please Note: If you don't show up and haven't notified the training department of your cancellation, your organization will still be responsible for payment. Substitutions may be made at any time. Tours will only be refunded if we can sell your spot.
Early Bird Cancellation – If you cancel on or before March 13, 2009, you will receive a full refund.
Regular Cancellation – If you cancel March 14 through April 30, 2009, you will be refunded 80% of your registration fees.
Late Cancellation – If you cancel from May 1 to May 9, 2009, you will be refunded 50% of your registration fees.
No Refund Cancellation – Registration fees for cancellations on or after May 10, 2009, are not refundable.
